Beholding The Glory Of The Lord

“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” -2 Corinthians 3:18

Looking at Jesus transforms me.

We expect that the secret to a victorious christian life must involve some great work on our part. Religion has taught us as much, and many Christians live a life of constant struggle due to this one thing- They’ve never come to see how simple God has made it.

Beholding the Glory of the Lord, we are being transformed into His image.

If you want to live a victorious christian life, look at Jesus more! Spend your time in His Presence beholding His face.

It’s in the face of Jesus that the Glory of God is seen and we are changed.

“The light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” -2 Corinthians 4:6

You see how simple it is?

Spending time with Jesus changes me. As I look at His face I become like Him. It’s really not any more complicated than that.

I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful this truth is!

It’s one of the reasons I love to worship so much. As I lift my voice in song, and my heart goes out to God, I behold Jesus in worship, and I’m literally changed through the experience!

I adore Him, and He transforms me!

All I do is worship, and I come out a different person!

The same is true of prayer and reading the Word of God.

Worship, prayer, and reading the Word of God are very concentrated and effective ways to behold Jesus as long as my goal is spending time with Jesus Himself.

Throughout my day I’m constantly encountering Jesus. In myrid ways He shows up, and I notice Him because I’m looking for Him!

“The watchmen found me as they went about in the city. “Have you seen him whom my soul loves?” -Song of Songs 3:3

The question- “Have you seen Him?”

When you’re in love you’re always looking for the one your heart is set on. We never tire of seeing the one we love.

A heart filled with love and passion for Jesus is most wonderful in His sight.

“My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.” -Psalm 27:8

I enjoy spending time with Jesus! My heart longs to be in His Presence. My eyes light up when I see His face. Nobody has to convince me to want to be with Him, and I’ve found, in being with Him, everything about me is changed.
