Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature. -2 Peter 1:4
To listen to some people teach you would think that since believers are partakers of the Divine nature, that somehow we ourselves become the Divine being!
Nothing could be further from the truth!
There’s universes of difference between us partaking of the Divine nature and us being the Divine nature.
If I eat an apple, for example, I’m a partaker of the apple, but that does not mean I become an apple! The same thing applies to us being partakers of God.
I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God but Me. -Isaiah 45:5
