The Place Of Freedom And Joy

“My hope is not because I am not a sinner, but because I am a sinner for whom Christ died. My confidence is not that I am holy, but that being unholy Christ died for me. My faith is this, not in what I am or will be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is and must be, in what Christ did, and is still doing as he stands before the throne of glory.” – Charles Spurgeon

This quote by Spurgeon totally captures what I believe.

I think it’s really sad when somebody is still holding on to some gasp of breath in themselves instead of owning the fact that there is nothing in us worthy.

The greatest freedom a Christian can ever experience is when we realize that Christ is EVERYTHING and there is no identity apart from Him whatsoever.

Most misery that Christians experience is because they’re still thinking there’s something in them that can be improved, rather than seeing the awesome truth that Christ Himself has now become our life!

“Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.” -Psalms 62:5
